Mediation for families in Birmingham
Birmingham's family court is one of the busiest outside London, and a first hearing can be a long time coming. For many families it is quicker – and a good deal cheaper – to settle the arrangements in mediation, where the two of you decide rather than waiting for a judge to. Online sessions mean that works whether you live in Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton or the city itself.
The family court is the Birmingham Civil and Family Justice Centre on Bull Street, in the city centre. It expects a MIAM before an application about children or finances. We hold them online within days, and issue the certificate, which is accepted there and at every other family court in England and Wales.

Which court hears your case depends on where the children live, and the court confirms it when you apply. Before a C100 for children or a Form A for finances it expects a MIAM first, and our certificate is accepted at every family court in England and Wales. If proceedings have already started, mediation can run alongside them.
