Mediation for families in Croydon
Croydon has its own family court on Altyre Road, one of the largest outside central London, serving Croydon and Sutton. Judges there are firm about mediation: a C100 or Form A without a MIAM certificate is likely to be sent back. We hold MIAMs online within days and issue the certificate the court needs.
The borough’s families are among the most diverse south of the river – Caribbean, Ghanaian, Nigerian, Sri Lankan Tamil, Polish and Indian households in Thornton Heath, Norbury and New Addington alongside longer-established families in Purley, Coulsdon and Selsdon. Joint sessions are online or in person in Croydon by appointment, in a private, neutral room; the £500 Government voucher applies where children are involved.

Which court hears your case depends on where the children live, and the court confirms it when you apply. Before a C100 for children or a Form A for finances it expects a MIAM first, and our certificate is accepted at every family court in England and Wales. If proceedings have already started, mediation can run alongside them.
