Mediation for families in Hounslow

The West London Family Court is in Hounslow itself, at Gloucester House in Feltham – which makes Hounslow one of the few boroughs where the court is closer than the mediator. It is also one of the busiest family courts in the country, and its judges expect to see a MIAM certificate with every application.

Many Hounslow families work at Heathrow or in the businesses around it, on shifts and rosters that make a fixed weekly contact schedule hard to keep. A Parenting Plan built around a rota is one of the things mediation is good at. Sessions are online or in person in Hounslow by appointment, in a private, neutral room; interpreters can be arranged in Punjabi, Urdu, Somali and other languages.

Which court hears your case depends on where the children live, and the court confirms it when you apply. Before a C100 for children or a Form A for finances it expects a MIAM first, and our certificate is accepted at every family court in England and Wales. If proceedings have already started, mediation can run alongside them.

Questions people in Hounslow ask

Where is the court?

The West London Family Court, Gloucester House, 4 Dukes Green Avenue, Feltham. A MIAM is expected before a C100 or Form A.

Can a Parenting Plan work around shift patterns?

Yes. Rather than fixed days, the plan can be built around a roster, with rules for swaps, short notice and school holidays, so it keeps working when the shifts change.

Is the Government voucher available?

Yes. Where your case involves arrangements for children, the Family Mediation Voucher gives up to £500 per family towards joint sessions. It is applied to your invoice, so you pay the difference.
