Mediation for families in Islington
Salam Mediation’s registered office is at City Road, on the Islington border, and many of the couples we see in person come from Angel, Highbury, Holloway and Canonbury. Islington has some of the highest house prices in the country next to some of the most social housing, and separations here range from a flat in Barnsbury with a large mortgage to a council tenancy in Holloway – both of which mediation deals with more cheaply than a court.
Islington cases are heard at the Central Family Court in Holborn, a short bus or Tube ride from Angel. The court expects both parties to have attended a MIAM. We hold them online within days and see couples in person in Islington by appointment, in a private, neutral room.

Which court hears your case depends on where the children live, and the court confirms it when you apply. Before a C100 for children or a Form A for finances it expects a MIAM first, and our certificate is accepted at every family court in England and Wales. If proceedings have already started, mediation can run alongside them.
