Mediation for families in the South of England
From Kent round to Cornwall, the South of England is where a large share of our online clients live: commuters in Reading, Guildford and Milton Keynes; couples in Brighton, Southampton and Portsmouth; families in Bristol, Bath, Exeter and Plymouth. The family courts – Reading, Oxford, Brighton, Southampton, Bristol and the rest – all expect a MIAM before a children or finance application, and all accept the certificate we issue.
Most people choose an online MIAM because it can be held within days, at a time that suits them, from home. Joint sessions are the same – usually two to four of them, online, with in-person appointments by arrangement. Because the practice is in London, evening and Saturday sessions are easy to arrange for people who work in the city and live along the M3, M4, M40 or the south coast.
The family court for the South of England
Family applications from the South of England go to the family court nearest to you – Reading, Oxford, Brighton, Southampton, Bristol or wherever the children live. Before a C100 for children or a Form A for finances it expects a MIAM first, and our certificate is accepted at every family court in England and Wales.

Questions people in the South of England ask
Which family court will my case go to?
The one nearest the children's home: for example Reading, Oxford, Brighton, Southampton, Portsmouth, Guildford, Milton Keynes, Luton, Bristol or Exeter. The court confirms the venue when you apply. Our certificate is valid at any of them.
Is online mediation as good as in person?
For most couples, yes – and for many it is better, because neither of you has to sit in a waiting room with the other. Shuttle mediation (separate screens, the mediator moving between you) works particularly well online.
Is the Government voucher available?
Yes. Where your case involves arrangements for children, the Family Mediation Voucher gives up to £500 per family towards joint sessions. It is applied to your invoice, so you pay the difference.
